The Perfect ‘All-In’ NFL Draft Move is Right in Front of the Rams

There's one pick the Los Angeles Rams could make in the 2026 NFL draft that could put them over the top as Super Bowl favorites.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is coming off the best season of his career, which netted him his first-ever MVP award.

And while he threw for 4,707 yards with 46 touchdowns and a 109.2 passer rating — both of which are career highs — there’s no ignoring the fact that Stafford just turned 38, and he may not have many more years left.

Stafford has already won the Rams one Super Bowl, but if they want him to do it again, the team would be wise to load up on as many offensive weapons as it can because many believe Stafford’s hour glass is quickly running out of sand.

Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford...

Garrett Poddell of CBS Sports thinks the same thing, which is why he predicted the Rams will draft USC receiver Makai Lemon with the 13th overall pick in his recent mock draft.

“Makai Lemon, the 2025 Biletnikoff Award winner, dominated just down the street from the NFC runner-up Rams in Los Angeles,” Poddell stated. “Lemon's size and a head-scratching combine press conference created some variability in where he may land.

“However, neither issue bothers Sean McVay and Les Snead, who pair Lemon with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams as part of an ‘all-in’ 2026 season for 2025 NFL MVP Matthew Stafford.”

USC WR Makai Lemon...

Lemon, who caught 79 passes for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, is one of the more explosive WRs in college football.

Pairing him with Puka Nacua, who caught a career-high 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, and Davante Adams, who tied his second-most single-season touchdowns with 14 at the age of 33, just doesn’t seem fair.

The Rams came up just short against the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks last year, and adding a weapon like Lemon to an already high-octane passing attack could be what gets them over the hump.
