Before taking the court in San Antonio, the Knicks notched back-to-back series sweeps over the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers. The team's last loss dates all the way back to Game 3 of their first-round playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks.
New York joined some historic company with this 12th straight win, becoming just the third team in NBA history to accomplish that feat. The Knicks are now tied with the 1999 Spurs, who took down the New York franchise in its most recent NBA Finals appearance.

"A HISTORIC RUN FOR NEW YORK," the NBA wrote on social media. "With their thrilling Game 1 road victory, the Knicks become just the THIRD team in NBA history to win 12 STRAIGHT games in a single postseason, joining the 2017 Warriors (15) and 1999 Spurs (12)!"
