The Murder Line (also known as The Borderline in North America) is finally available to UK viewers. This six-episode limited crime drama is set in Canada’s Thousand Islands region and follows Henry Roland (played by Stephen Amell of Arrow, Suits LA), a small-town police officer caught between duty and friendship.

What begins as a double murder investigation quickly takes a dark turn when Henry discovers that his childhood friend Tommy (played by Hamza Haq of Transplant) may be deeply involved in the crime. Will Henry uphold his duties as a cop, or go out of his way to protect his closest friend?

It’s evident from the trailer that unlike typical murder mysteries, The Murder Line isn’t just another whodunnit. The series also aims to explore moral ambiguity, betrayal, and loyalty through complex character dynamics.

Viewers in the UK can watch The Murder Line FREE of charge on ITV1 and ITVX.

The Murder Line episode guide

Episode 1: "Blue Beetle" – The aftermath of a stolen cocaine shipment upends many lives in a small 1000 Islands town - from criminals to cops to comic book nerds.

Episode 2: "Strange River" – Despite trying to cover his own tracks, things keep getting worse for Henry as Erica's investigation turns up more and more connections with Henry's past.

Episode 3: "No Loose Ends" – A New York Kingpin sends his top brass to the 1000 Islands to track down the missing drugs, while Ruby and Miles, and the drugs everyone is after, go into hiding.

Episode 4: "No Room at the No Tell Motel" – In the middle of the night, everyone finds themselves at The Heron Motel, where each room tells a different story of madness and mayhem.

Episode 5: "Bones" – A series of flashbacks shed light on Henry and Tommy's mysterious dark history together while in present day, more secrets are uncovered. Nothing stays at the bottom of the river forever.

Episode 6: "Long Time Running" – In the climactic conclusion, all of the secrets, lies and shady dealings finally come to a head, turning The Heron parking lot into an epic battlefield.
