Fans are already weighing in on Ryan Seacrest’s approach to “Wheel of Fortune,” and not everyone agrees on his game strategy.
Seacrest, 51, revealed how he would play the game in a rapid-fire Q&A shared on the show’s Instagram page.
The clip begins with the game show host introducing himself as if he were a contestant, saying, “I’m Ryan. I’m from Dunwoody, Georgia. Fun fact, I played football as a kid growing up and I’ve always wanted to be the host of a game show.”

“I’m a contestant now, but I’ve always wanted to be a host,” he teased. “This is very, very Meta for me.”
Seacrest said his approach to the game would be simple: buy a vowel if only one letter is available. He called it his “strategy out of the gate,” but admitted he might struggle under pressure.

“Sometimes I think I would be okay at this, maybe even decent or good, and then I think maybe not. It just depends,” he shared. “I am not good under pressure as a contestant on anything, so I think hosting is probably better for me.”
When asked what category he would select in the Bonus Round, the television personality revealed that he already “thought about this a lot.”
“I think I would go with ‘What Are You Doing?'” he revealed. “By the way, I’m so excited to be in the Bonus Round, and that trip that I won.”
He concluded the video with his signature phrase, saying, “Thank you. Seacrest out.”
...Many fans showed their support for Seacrest in the comment section, with one writing, “Please relay this message to Ryan: I've seen you engage in games under pressure on talk shows. You're good in those moments!”
However, one fan criticized his strategy, saying, “No, not What Are You Doing! Don’t waste your picks on the G and I! 😫”
