How is it June already? As always, the best streaming services have added plenty of new movies to their library and there's some horror gems among them.
Shudder originals make up much of my recommendations this month, so if you're a horror fan who doesn't have a subscription yet, I'd highly recommend that you do. I was especially impressed by their June line-up.
But worry not, there's lots to enjoy on bigger streaming services like Prime Video, Netflix and HBO Max too. Here's a fun mix of horror movies streaming throughout June 2026.

Ari Aster's Midsommar is now on HBO Max in the US and there's a reason it leads this month's recommendations. After traumatizing us all with his first feature Hereditary, he came back a year later to do it all over again. You have to hand it to the guy, he's committed.
Florence Pugh leads the cast of this haunting folk horror, as Dani, a young woman who travels to a midsummer celebration in Sweden with a group of friends and her boyfriend, the latter of who she has a strained relationship with. Whilst there, she learns the sinister truth about the commune and you can expect some seriously unsettling visuals from this horror movie.

They play two rival women who drink a magic potion that promises eternal youth and beauty. However, they soon discover that looking young forever brings absurd, gruesome, and quite honestly, hilarious complications.
It's definitely the most lighthearted entry into this month's horror round up, but it's no less worthy. Those wanting a brilliant blend of horror and comedy won't want to miss the classic Death Becomes Her.

Escape Room gets a bad rep, in my opinion. Sure, it's a little silly, but that's all part of the fun. If you are a fan of horror movies where people get trapped in terrifying rooms, then this should tick all the right boxes. You can safely say you have never done an escape room activity quite this dangerous before.
Lured in by the promise of a $10,000 prize, a group travel to the mysterious company Minos to take part in what they assume is a regular escape room. They end up fighting for their lives instead throughout a series of nail-biting challenges.
Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1978)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) - Official Trailer (HD) - YouTube
Watch On
When: Streaming nowWhere: Prime Video (worldwide)
Prime Video subscribers around the world can stream the 70s horror classic Invasion Of The Body Snatchers and there's plenty of reasons why you should. Many regard this as being better than the original, because it expands on the concept more.
With gritty camerawork and eerie sound design, this sci-fi horror should not be missed. There's also a stellar cast here including Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Leonard Nimoy, and Jeff Goldblum who star as those impacted by strange and scary aliens who are able to perfectly replicate humans.
You’re Killing Me
You're Killing Me | Official Trailer - YouTube

When: June 6Where: Netflix (US)
Hart of Dixie's McKaley Miller stars in You’re Killing Me, as a student hoping to get into an elite university on a scholarship. In order to secure it, she attends a coveted heaven and hell party, hoping to get a letter of recommendation, but she finds herself in a fight for her life instead.
It's a fairly underrated movie and worth checking out on Netflix this month. I'd describe it as a teen slasher so if you enjoy movies like Scream, you'll probably get a kick out of this too.
Find Your Friends
FIND YOUR FRIENDS | Official Trailer | Shudder - YouTube
Watch On
When: June 12 Where: Shudder (worldwide)
The first of Shudder's big new releases in June is Find Your Friends. The movie follows a group of women who head to Joshua Tree for a trip, where they soon find themselves unwelcome in a desert town simmering with quiet hostility. It's a far cry from the relaxing break they were expecting.
They find themselves up against aggressive locals and their own lingering resentments within the friend group, resulting in a tense and violence fight for survival. Strap in for the vacation from hell.
The Voices of Our Mother
The Voices of Our Mother Trailer #1 (2026) - YouTube
Watch On
When: June 19 Where: Shudder (worldwide)
Finally, The Voices of our Mother is coming to Shudder on June 19. It follows a family matriarch who falls seriously ill, and relatives gather to provide support in these final days.
Whilst there, they discover that their shared ancestral ties "bind them in unexpected ways", according to a cryptic synopsis. It can't mean anything good and I'm excited to unravel the secrets when the movie arrives later this month.

She has written several reviews in her time, starting with a small self-ran blog called Lucy Goes to Hollywood before moving onto bigger websites such as What's on TV and What to Watch, with TechRadar being her most recent venture. Her interests primarily lie within horror and thriller, loving nothing more than a chilling story that keeps her thinking moments after the credits have rolled. Many of these creepy tales can be found on the streaming services she covers regularly.
When she’s not scaring herself half to death with the various shows and movies she watches, she likes to unwind by playing video games on Easy Mode and has no shame in admitting she’s terrible at them. She also quotes The Simpsons religiously and has a Blinky the Fish tattoo, solidifying her position as a complete nerd.
