Subscribe to our newsletterSlick silver, classy black and clinical white gadgets still proliferate in the tech world, but this summer brands seem to have decided it's time to shake things up with something decidedly more colorful. Specifically, I've noticed a trend for tropical fruit-toned tech and appliances, and the shade of choice seems to be orange.
Apple's hottest new product drops have a totally tropical through-line — Citrus is the MacBook Neo colorway everyone's after, while Cosmic Orange is the head-turner in an otherwise unremarkable selection of iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max color options. Elsewhere, Dyson's Ceramic Apricot and Topaz colorway has now been rolled out across the brand's haircare gadget lineup, and the new limited-edition GHD Chronos straightener is 'Sun-kissed Peach'.
