Christina Applegate has shared her first statement on her health since she was reportedly hospitalised in Los Angeles.
The 54-year-old actress has been living with multiple sclerosis since 2021, and friends worryingly claimed over the weekend that she ‘might not have a tomorrow’.
The Anchorman star has now addressed the speculation over her health in an Instagram post, in which she said she’s a ‘strong chick’.
She shared the message alongside a picture of a coffee mug and the words ‘Kissy Kissy’ written on it, on top of her new memoir You With the Sad Eyes, which was published last month.
The caption read: ‘Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes. Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick and I’m getting stronger and better every day.
‘I’m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I’ll be back with more to say soon enough.’

The Dead to Me actress, who has one daughter with her musician husband Martyn LeNoble, was said to have been hospitalised since late March, according to a report in TMZ.
A source claiming to be close to Applegate subsequently told the Daily Mail: ‘With every setback, if we are being realistic, everyone has it in the back of their minds that they might not have a tomorrow with her.’
They said that Applegate was in ‘rough shape’, but that ‘people aren’t thinking this is the end’.
The source continued: ‘Nobody is planning to be at a funeral. Granted, her disease will take her sooner than anyone would like it to be, but everyone has trust in her medical team and her will to live.’
